Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his brother/manager Marc were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States. They allegedly did not pay taxes on $8.9 million in income. They reportedly didn’t report millions made from promotions and appearances and wrote off fancy clothing and cars as business expenses.
Mike Sorrentino could face six years in prison. His lawyer is blaming a “disgraced accountant who is a proven liar.” Mike recently posted this adage on Instagram: “To be old and wise you must first be young and dumb.” Perhaps he picked up this nugget of wisdom during one of his anger management classes. He “volunteered” to go after someone pressed charges related to a fight that went down at the family’s tanning salon. His brother Marc was involved, too.
