British model (and Selena Gomez’s BFF) Cara Delevingne landed the female lead in the film adaptation of John Green’s young adult novel Paper Towns. Delevingne and Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars) will play the two teenage neighbors who sneak out of their houses one night and get revenge on people who Delevingne’s complex character (Margo) feels have hurt her. The super popular writer Green tweeted: “Cara Delevigne’s audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!”
Working with John Green, writer Scott Neustadter will help with the screenplay of Paper Towns. It’ll be one big happy reunion for Green, Neustadter and Wolff as they all worked together on The Fault in Our Stars which was received well by critics and at the box-office – it grossed over $266 million worldwide against its $12 million budget. (The Fault In Our Stars was released today on Blu-Ray and DVD.)
