A “bonus scene” from the cancelled Arsenio Hall Show has surfaced and gone viral. MTV found the clip and is promoting the hell out of it to promote the music network’s TV show Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family – the Mac Miller season finale will air on Wednesday, September 3 on MTV2!
The found clip shows the host Arsenio Hall stopping by the green room to congratulate Mac Miller on his performance on the show. “First of all, the thing you did tonight was poetic,” Arsenio told Mac. “It’s like a 2013 Maya Angelou without the breasts and the femininity. It’s poetry! I love what you did for us tonight.” Mac Miller, of course, has absolutely less than nothing in common with the late civil rights icon Angelou. Even Hall must have known he stepped over his own loose boundaries with the comparison–he cut it from the show. But here it is.
