One Direction used to open up for another boy band, Big Time Rush. They were on the same record label. Big Time Rush member Kendall Schmidt claims his band used to get the kind of exposure that 1D guys and Harry Styles get now. Big Time Rush released three straight albums that went platinum and gold. They also had a popular TV series on Nickelodeon (2009-2013).
Kendall Schmidt recently told Teen.com, “As cool as it was to hang out with them, it sucked for us because there would be 2,000 girls outside the show singing their songs, even though we were headlining.” So why is Schmidt bringing it up now? He’s in a new band, Heffron Drive, which is just starting its US tour.
