Who’s Bad? might be the first song that comes to mind when you see the cover of Jennifer Hudson’s third studio album, JHUD. It features the sexy singer wearing a black leather jacket a la Michael Jackson, with a raised collar and zippers and buckles galore. Or, maybe it’s the old-school graffiti’ed JHUD that reminds us of BAD, the King of Pop’s seventh studio album that had everyone asking each other, in between biting their lower lips, Who’s Bad? The Michael Jackson album is nearly 30 years old (1987) but Hudson is bringing the BAD look back. What worked for Jackson just might work for Hudson. BAD has been cited as one of the 30 best-selling albums of all time.
Produced by Timbaland, the album JHUD features songs with American rapper T.I. (I Can’t Describe The Way I Feel), Australian rapper Iggy Azalea (He Ain’t Going’ Nowhere) and a duet with fellow Chicagoan and R&B singer R.Kelly called “It’s Your World.” The album drops September 23.
