Taylor Swift’s new album, 1989 (a reference to the year she was born) which includes her No. 1 hit “Shake It Off!” is officially a pop album. It is an intentional break from her customary country music style. The 13-track album, which took her about two years to create, will drop October 27.
Country superstar Brad Paisley gives Swift his blessing, kind of. He told E! Online that Swift is “becoming more of a product – she is a world famous superstar now. She is not just Nashville’s, [and] we just have to kind of get used to that.” Swift’s newest anthem on “ignoring them haters” has already sold 544,000 copies within its first week and was played more than 7 million times on iTunes.
