Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Tony Shalhoub (Monk!), Whoopi Goldberg, Johnny Knoxville and Will Arnett are just a few of the stars set to shell the turtle world in August, when Jonathan Leibesman’s highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie hit screens across the country. (Fox, who plays April, was the first to be hired.) The Turtles “motion posters” just dropped–and they introduce a darker, spookier scene than the earlier incarnation of Turtles traveled through. But they haven’t lost their sense of humor, as Movieweb points out, writing “the trademark humor is…fully intact.”
In the new movie–which will go hunting for summer blockbuster status on August 8–Shredder and the diabolical Foot Clan have turned New York City into a grim dystopia, until Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo rise from the sewers to combat the evil interlopers. Sample motion poster below. More at Movieweb. The Michael Bay production is estimated to have cost $125 million.
