Global singing sensation Enrique Iglesias asked Jamaican singer Sean Paul to sing the English version of Iglesias’ latest hit “Bailando” (“Dancing”) with him on ABC’s Good Morning America on August 1. They’ve already rehearsed together in front of a pretty big audience. They sang teh single at the Macy’s Day Parade in New York on July 4.
The song is about men watching a girl dance and having so much fun doing it they “don’t want the night to stop.” The English lyrics include this refrain, sung by Iglesias: “Girl, I like the way you move/Come and show me what to do/You can tell me that you want me/Girl, you got nothing to lose/I can’t wait no more (ya no puedo mas)/I can’t wait no more (ya no puedo mas).” Sondheim it isn’t. But it’s selling. “Bailando” moved into the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. But more impressively, the Spanish video (see below) has been shared 245 million times.
