Team Fast Electric Robots is one of 20 teams returning to BattleBots for Season 2 on ABC. The team is composed of the Vasquez family from Thousand Oaks, California. When the teenage Vasquez brothers Jason and Matthew aren’t working on Splatter, they’ve been busy building LEGO replicas of all the BattleBots of Season 2. The 250 pound versions will be featured on the show’s premiere (June 23, 8pm, ABC).
Fun fact about Dad Vasquez, Jeff: He built and operated the robots in the BattleBots episode of The Big Bang Theory… and sat in Sheldon’s spot. Jim Parsons (who plays Sheldon) won’t be there for the premiere but former Mythbusters TV host Adam Savage will guest judge. BattleBots airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
