Furious snow tonight in Colorado will be accompanied by 90 mph winds along the Rocky Mountain foothills, with the wind watch extending from Castle Rock north all the way to Wyoming.
Colorado is susceptible to ripping microbursts and wind shears of great velocity, even in more clement conditions. Temporary stages in the state, commonplace as the music festival circuit thrives in Colorado, are legally required to be able to withstand sustained winds of 90 mph. It is unclear who might still be listening at that point.
