Movie stars will be on television Sunday night receiving gold statuettes, or smiling lavishly at those who do. The stars are excited to be there, too, because they’d like to be seen somewhere.
Fewer people saw a movie in a theater last year than had the year before, the year before that too, and, well, in the last 16 years. Hundreds of millions fewer.
