While in New York City, actress Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire, Cheaper by the Dozen, A Cinderella Story, Younger, How I Met Your Father) posed in a sheer white dress on a brownstone stoop and wrote: “I love you, Tory Burch.” The billionaire fashion designer replied: “Need to get that” with a red heart emoji.
Duff’s fans are going wild over the fashion-forward ensemble and its Sex and the City vibes.
Evoking thoughts of the famous fictional Sex and the City and And Just Like That protagonist Carrie Bradshaw (portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker), Duff wore a super chic glamorous designer dress and open-toe sandals to brunch. (Duff was in the Big Apple to attend the OLLY x Hilary Duff Back-to-School event.)
Before attending the event, Duff posed on a brownstone stoop that looks just like Carrie’s in the HBO series based on the 1996 book of the same title by Candace Bushnell.
As one fan replied: “Carrie Bradshaw, is that you?”
In L.A., Duff tends to wear a more casual look while “grabbing something to eat” as seen below.
Note: Season 2 of Duff’s hulu series How I Met Your Father ended in July. No word yet if the show has been renewed for a third season.
