Hollywood star Ming-Na Wen is known for her roles in movies including Mulan (as the titular character), in the Star Wars film franchise (Fennec Shand), and in long-running TV series including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Melinda May) and ER (Dr. Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen), among others.
When not on a TV or movie set, Wen is often turning heads at special events as seen above and below at The Gold Gala. On the red carpet, Wen removed her feather coat to reveal a stunning strapless black sequins mermaid dress by New York fashion designer, Parsons alum Joya Ma.
Wen captioned the more candid photos below: “Partying at The Gold Gala!” Keep swiping to see Wen having fun with Awkwafina, Lea Salonga, and Jeannie Mai, among other “old and new friends.”
Fun fact: Wen’s daughter, Michaela Zee, wore a black velvet dress with gold bowtie by the same designer (Joya Ma) at the TIME 100 red carpet gala, see below.
Note: The Gold Gala is organized by the nonprofit organization The Gold House which describes itself as “the leading cultural ecosystem that unites, invests in, and champions Asian Pacific creators and companies to power tomorrow for all.”
