Actress, singer and model Lynda Carter was crowned Miss Woman USA 1972 before taking on her most famous role as Diana Prince A.K.A. Wonder Woman in the popular 70s TV series Wonder Woman based on the DC Comics female superhero. The show ran from 1975 to 1979.
Carter, 71, keeps her adoring fans entertained on Instagram where she often shares throwback photos of her modeling, as Wonder Woman, and with fellow celebrities she’s befriended throughout her career. And with a good sense of humor. She captioned the photo above: “Happy Mardi Gras!”
When she shared the unbuttoned knotted top photo above, she captioned it: “It’s officially crop top season.” Carter’s die-hard fans remember when that photo was taken. One replied: “Great shot! You wore it well! I still have that album!” Another chimed in: “Had the poster from this photo shoot on my wall for many years.”
When not having fun on social media, Carter spends time with her daughter, Jessica Carter Altman, who is following in her mother’s footsteps as a model and singer, and also knows how to wear a crop top (see above) and a bikini (below).
Jessica Carter Altman, 32, is currently promoting her new single, Blood Moon.
