Singer and songwriter Kesha launched her music career at the age of 18, in 2005, when she was signed to Kemosabe Records. After being featured on rapper Flo Rida‘s 2009 number-one single “Right Round” (2009), Kesha released her debut studio album, Animal (2010), which includes her 2009 hit song, ‘Tik Tok,’ among others.
The 36-year-old Los Angeles native is now promoting her fifth studio album, Gag Order, which will be released on May 19, 2023.
Over the past two weeks, Kesha has been revealing some of the album’s artwork, including the stunning image above, of Kesha with a plastic bag wrapped around her head.
When Kesha recently released a snippet of her forthcoming ‘Eat the Acid’ video, as seen above, her fans went (and continue to go) wild with praise.
As one replied: “F-ing brilliant iconic unique raw pure artist masterpiece love this so much.”
Many fans are using the words “raw” and “pure art” to describe the video, which might remind some art enthusiasts of performance artist Marina Abramovic, who famously performed a piece at the Museum of Modern Art while sitting on a chair in an empty room, an aesthetic similar to Kesha’s ‘Eat the Acid’ video.
