Three stars of the Bravo reality TV series Vanderpump Rules — former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump, Lala Kent and Ariana Madix — attended the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. They were the guests of the British tabloid newspaper and website The Daily Mail.
When Vanderpump shared the red carpet photo below from the televised event, she captioned it: “Perfect ménage-à-trois.” That’s Kent on the left in the purple strapless gown, and Madix on the right in a white cape and strapless white gown.
Vanderpump also shared the video clip from the evening which was broadcast on CNN. Watch and listen to host Roy Wood, Jr., make a joke about former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson getting “caught up, just like that dude on Vanderpump Rules.” That dude is Madix’s ex-boyfriend and VR co-star Tom Sandoval, who admitted to having an affair with another co-star, Raquel Leviss. The love triangle has been dubbed “Scandoval.”
As seen above, the CNN camera at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner catches Madix laughing and holding her hand over her mouth in disbelief when Wood drops the reference to her ex. Wood claims not to know what Vanderpump Rules is all about but does admit to having “watched it a couple of times.”
