Self-described rabble-rouser and equal opportunity offender Meghan McCain tends to tweet with blade-like brevity. The former daytime talk show regular has been putting that particular skill to work lately, crafting a savage zinger filled with historical resentment recently after Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury.
Today McCain is at it again, killing the proverbial two birds with one stone — or rather two formerly high-flying cable news personas with one tweet. And doing it without naming either man.
After news broke that Tucker Carlson and Fox News are parting ways, quickly followed by the news that Don Lemon is out at CNN, McCain wrote: “It’s a bad day to be a misogynist on cable man…”
Ouch.
It’s a bad day to be a misogynist on cable man…

McCain may be referring to headlines like this, from The Independent: “Lewd comments, Pelosi pictures and ‘systemic chauvinism’: Tucker Carlson producer alleges culture of misogyny at Fox News.”
Or perhaps she is referring to this “Don Lemon fired from CNN amidst misogyny controversy” — a headline at Marca. McCain doesn’t say. She doesn’t have to.
