When not performing on stage, professional dancer Julianne Hough (Dancing with the Stars) often supports fellow entertainers when its their turn to shine under the limelight. As seen below, Hough stole a little of the limelight when she attended the opening of the Broadway show, New York, New York, a New Musical, in New York City.
For the red carpet premiere, Hough wore in a black bikini under a stunning black lace dress with fringe. As one fan replied: “Smoke show!”
She also posed with her former POTUS Broadway co-stars. Above: L-R: Vanessa Williams, Lilli Cooper, Hough, Lea DeLaria, Suzy Nakamura, Rachel Dratch, and Julie White.
Hough often turns heads when in New York as seen below during New York Fashion Week. (She’s wearing Carolina Herrera.)
Fun fact: The musical New York, New York — which is directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers) — is loosely based on the 1977 movie of the same title directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Liza Minnelli and Robert De Niro.
Set at the end of World War II, New York, New York is about an egotistical and volatile jazz saxophonist (De Niro) and lounge singer (Minnelli) who meet in New York, perform together as a duo, fall in love, marry, and have a baby. But things don’t work out between the two. Watch trailer above.
