Actress Candice (née Accola) King is best known for her role as Caroline Forbes in the supernatural teen drama series The Vampire Diaries with Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder, among others.
In May 2022, Us Weekly confirmed that King (now 35) and her husband of seven years, musician Joe King of The Fray, have filed for divorce. Candice, who’s still using the surname King professionally, spoke publicly about her divorce on iHeartRadio’s “Scrubbing In” podcast in January. On the show she said: “I have some personal … I have really big changes going on in my life,” She added, “I’ll just say that to keep it very simple. It involves a lot of grief and big changes can have all the feelings.”
When King recently shared the stunning photos above and below, of her rocking a tiny mini dress with spaghetti straps (and a caviar print!), she captioned it: “patiently waiting for summer to peek through the curtains.” King’s fans love the look and are showering her with praise.
Die-hard Vampires Diaries fan are leaving clever vampire-related replies including “klaus will come back to life after seeing this” and “Candice you took immortality seriously, okay babe.”
The dress (called “Gwen”) is by Brooklyn fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, who suggests that one who wears it should ”Manifest a fancy dinner by covering yourself in caviar!” Antonoff describes the dress as being “very fitted at the bust and straight through the hips” and boasts “a svelte silhouette, spaghetti straps, and our fan-favorite caviar print all over.”
As seen above, King celebrated the end of 2022 in a bubble bath and wrote: “Dear 2022, What a cantankerous collection of 365 days with impeccable comedic timing. You were fantastic.”
