When not on a Hollywood movie set, Oscar Award-winning actress Helen Hunt (As Good As It Gets) spends time with her daughter Mákena Lei Gordon Carnahan, aka “Mak,” who just graduated from high school.
When Hunt shared the stunning photo above of her with her tall, red-haired beauty of a daughter, Hunt’s famous friends chimed in with congratulations including Molly Shannon, Mindy Cohn and Billie Jean King, among others.
According to Maks’ Instagram account, the 18-year-old is heading to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois (class of 2026).

Get ready to see more of Maks: Northwestern is known for its theater department and Maks did land the role of Ruth in Hunt’s 2018 movie The Miracle Season about a high school volleyball team. Hunt played the coach.
