Stand-up comedian/actor Jeff Garlin is known for his roles on the ABC family sitcom The Goldbergs (as father/husband Murray Goldberg) and on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm (as Larry David’s friend Jeff Greene). It looks like the new Fall season is going to treat Garlin well: Season 9 of The Goldbergs premieres on Wednesday, September 22 at 8 pm on ABC; and Season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm will premiere in October on HBO.
Fans of The Goldbergs might be surprised to see a more svelte Murray: Jeff Garlin has lost weight.
As seen in the photo above, the 59-year-old gives thanks to celebrity trainer Peter Lee Thomas and tags Hollywood movie star Halle Berry. Peter is Halle Berry’s training partner.
Like Halle, Jeff has been doing martial arts training with Peter. Note the Bruce Lee t-shirt.
When Peter reposted the photo above with Garlin he wrote: “Getting this comedic genius with the heart of a lion action ready. Stay tuned folks” with a movie clapper board emoji. Halle’s fashion stylist Lindsay Flores replied to Peter about Jeff: “He is my everything.” Jeff is looking good, as seen on stage in August (below).
It appears Garlin has a new lady friend, too. He captioned the cute photo below: “I dig this woman. More surprising is that she digs me.”
Garlin reports that the swimming photo below was taken by his “oh so mysterious girlfriend.”
Garlin is currently filming the upcoming Damien Chazelle (Whiplash, La La Land) 1920s Hollywood movie Babylon starring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Olivia Wilde, Tobey Maguire, Samara Weaving, and Jean Smart, among others. It’s scheduled for a January 6, 2023 release.
