Karrueche Tran worked as a celebrity stylist in Hollywood before launching her acting career in 2003. Her role as Vivian Johnson on the web series The Bay (2013 to 2016), which she produced, won her two Daytime Emmy Awards.

Tran plays Virginia, a former club dancer who works with a group of manicurists at a nail salon in Florida. They break into the world of organized crime and launder money for a nearby pain clinic, and look fabulous while doing it.
In Season 3 of CLAWS, Virginia survived an assassination attempt but she lost an eye. Her prosthetic eye once belonged to a psychic — so now Virginia is showing empathetic abilities in the nail salon.
