If you love country music, then you best turn on the live broadcast of The 53rd Annual CMA Awards LIVE on ABC. Super star Carrie Underwood is hosting with icons Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. But that’s not all!
Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and Eric Church will be performing on stage and there will be a number of duets including P!nk and Chris Stapleton (“Love Me Anyway”), and Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson.
When Musgraves produced a cover of Nelson’s 1965 song “Are You Sure,” the 86-year-old Hall of Famer sang with Musgraves on the track. It was added as a hidden track on her second album, Pageant Material.
Musgraves said the hidden track (#14) was a treat for the people who make it to the very end of the record.
She described it as: “Like, the record is over and slowly this western world — a kind of hazy, stoned-sounding western world — arises as a surprise at the end.” The album was nominated for Best Country Album at the 58th Grammy Awards.
The 53rd Annual CMA Awards will broadcast live on Wednesday, November 13 at 8 pm on ABC.
