Sometimes the Kardashians seem utterly new-fangled — their outrageous fame and fortune the result of modern technology like everyone’s 500-plus cable channels, giant TV screens, Instagram and Twitter. And yet at other times the Kardashians seem like a throwback — the family focus, the hourglass figures, the never-ending poses that hark back to Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Kourtney Kardashian has been exemplifying that old school Golden Age glamour lately, especially as she sits poolside in a high-waisted bikini. The photo above almost has a technicolor feel, so much does it seem like it might have been taken in the late 1950s at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The Golden Age — it’s anytime you want it to be, apparently.
