On the Love After Lockup episode “Life After Lockup, Truth & Lies,” the newly married couples continue to struggle with their new lives together on the outside. Ex-con Michael is in the doghouse with his new wife Sarah, who flips when she learns about his relationship with Megan. Everyone saw that coming. But the most unexpected scene takes place at the home of Clint’s mother, who appears to live in a McMansion. She is stunned and not pleased when her ex-con daughter-in-law Tracie walks into her home.

Clint explains that his mother’s concerns about Tracie is “mainly that she’s an addict, that she’ll relapse and go back to her old ways and leave me again.” Tracie worries a lot about Clint’s mother not accepting her because without her approval Tracie doesn’t think their marriage will work.
“His mom has a really high influence on him” and she worries that Clint will leave her. When Tracie asks Clint why other girls have gotten to meet his mother and not her, he tells her, “No other girl stole a car from me.” Touche, Clint, touche. Love After Lockup airs Fridays at 9 pm on WE.
