Hollywood star and restaurateur Mark Wahlberg was on hand in London, England to open the family’s new burger restaurant Wahlburgers in Covent Garden yesterday. It’s the food chain’s first restaurant in the UK.
When asked by local media which burger is his favorite, Wahlberg, who wore a weird black thumb brace at the grand opening, said his choice of burgers varies. The movie star explained: “I usually order four or five burgers at a time and then I’ll have a half or a quarter of each one.” (Mark’s leftovers could probably fetch a goodly price on Ebay — WahlHALFburgers, just saying.)
At the bit London grand opening, Wahlberg was filmed doing exactly that — pounding down burgers with four or five more in front of him ready to be devoured. He showed the world his appetite and endurance while wearing that weird brace (photos below). Maybe the brace to give the idea of the heft of your average Wahlburger? Even a fit guy like Mark needs help lifting five Wahlburgers? It helps to remember that everything is marketing.
