Alyssa Raghu, the 17-year-old from Orlando, Florida who’s getting her second chance on American Idol this season, looks like a pro (see photo above) as she gets the audience involved during her solo performance of the pop punk band Paramore’s song “Ain’t It Fun.”
Paramore’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, explains the origins of the song: “Our band had basically gone through the breakup. Everyone in Nashville was talking about it. So, I took off for L.A. as if it was going to be some kind of paradise or saving grace. I got there and realized that my problems were following me. Okay, so I was having a bad six months? Get over it. That song is a sarcastic poke at myself. It totally kicked my ass.” American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8 pm on ABC.
