In the series premiere of Abby’s, America is introduced to Abby, a no-nonsense bar owner who hosts friends and neighbors at her unlicensed makeshift bar in her backyard. The big wrinkle in her new business is her new landlord Bill (Nelson Franklin, black-ish), who recently inherited the house from his dead aunt.
Abby is portrayed by Natalie Morales. The Miami-born actress is known for her roles on Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet (Anne Garcia), The Grinder (Claire Lacoste), Parks and Recreation (Lucy), Girls (Clementine Barrios), 90210 (Ashley Howard), and White Collar (Lauren Cruz), among others. Morales is also recognized for her role as professional tennis player Rosie Casals in the 2017 film Battle of the Sexes with Emma Stone and Steve Carell. Abby’s airs Thursdays at 9:30 PM ON NBC.
