In the Young Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory prequel series) episode “A Tummy Ache and a Whale of a Metaphor”, Sheldon (Iain Armitage) learns that he needs to have his gall bladder removed. The surgery requires a few days in the hospital where he turns into the world’s worst patient, which Nurse Robinson can attest to. Nurse Robinson also attended to George Sr. when he was rushed to the emergency room in the 2017 episode “Poker, Faith and Eggs.”
The actress who plays Nurse Robinson is Vernee Watson, who also plays Nurse Althea on The Big Bang Theory. She took care of pregnant Bernadette when she was ready to deliver and Howard when he had an allergic reaction to peanuts.
[Check out Watson in the classic The Boy In the Plastic Bubble with John Travolta]
Actress Vernee Watson is known for her current role on General Hospital (Stella Henry, see photo below), Suit Up (Coach Jan Bigsby), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Vy Smith), and Welcome Back, Kotter (Vernajean Williams), among others. Young Sheldon airs Thursdays at 8:30 pm on CBS, right after The Big Bang Theory and right before Mom.
