In the Schooled episode “Tamagotchis and Bells,” while the Tamagotchi craze at school has Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) considering starting a family of his own, rookie teacher Lainey (AJ Michalka) deals with an overbearing parent, Alan Buccholz. Luckily Lainey has Principal Glascott (Tim Meadows) to help her deal with the turtleneck wearing, Viper car driving dad.
Alan Buccholz is portrayed by Rob Riggle. The U.S. Marines veteran is known for his roles on The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, Modern Family (Phil’s real estate rival Gil Thorpe), New Girl (Big Schmidt), and in films including The Hangover (Officer Franklin), 21 Jump Street (Mr. Walters), and Dumb and Dumber Too (Travis), among others. Schooled airs Wednesdays at 8:30 pm on ABC, right after The Goldbergs and right before Modern Family.
