In The Big Bang Theory episode “The Meteorite Manifestation”, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is thrilled to help married couple Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) navigate bureaucratic paperwork with the Department of City Planning and Zoning, until he discovers they’re breaking the law. When Sheldon arrives at the city government office, he meets employee Nathan.
City Planning & Zoning worker Nathan is portrayed by Andy Daly. The comedic actor is known for his roles on Modern Family (Principal Brown), Black-ish (Dr. Evan Windsor), Silicon Valley (Doctor), The Paul Reiser Show (Brad), Reno 911! and MADtv, among others. Daly is also the TV spokesman for CarMax (see below). The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 pm on CBS, right before its spin-off show Young Sheldon.
