In The Real Housewives of New Jersey episode “Communion and Confession,” the drama continues at Joey Gorga’s first communion reception. It’s an elegant affair held at Rails Steak House, an upscale restaurant in Towaco, New Jersey, where a 16 oz. Prime NY Strip Steak costs $39. At the reception, the feud between OG ‘wife Teresa Giudice and new ‘wife Jackie Goldschneider threatens to upset little Joey’s party. As does new tension between Jackie and fellow new wife Jennifer Aydin.

After visiting Jennifer’s palatial estate in Paramus, NJ, Jackie wrote an article in The Bergen Record titled “Does Giving Too Many Gifts Create Spoiled Children?”
Before Jackie arrives at the party, Teresa prods Jennifer’s anger and says, “You never talk about husbands and children,” to which Jennifer says presumably to Jackie, “You want to come after me, I’m ready.” Jennifer says, “Just because I have a big house doesn’t mean my children get everything they want.” When Jackie arrives, all she does is talk about the tension between her and Teresa. Jennifer says “I’m not backing down on this one,” but waits for Jackie to “own what she did so I can rip her a new one.”

Is Jennifer’s anger justified? Well, how would you feel if someone wrote about you and your family after you welcomed them into your home? It might feel like a violation of privacy. “You don’t even talk about what you saw in someone’s house, that’s private,” says Dolores Catania (the one who brought the article to Jennifer’s attention).
In Jackie’s defense, she never calls her friend by name and admits (at the end of the article): “I’m also guilty of buying my kids lots of gifts, so I’m not faulting my friend for her generosity. I just hope she heeds Politis’ (a family psychologist who is interviewed for the article) advice so her children remain the sweet kids I met at the door.”
However, Jackie concludes her column with a zinger: “And though I’m not sure my children’s playroom will ever measure up to the one they played in that night, there is one thing of which I’m absolutely sure: I never aspire to have the home that other people’s children never want to leave.” The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
