Lifetime is ringing in the New Year by airing the 2015 erotic thriller film Careful What You Wish For. Inspired by the 1981 movie Body Heat starring William Hurt and Kathleen Turner, heartthrob Nick Jonas plays the protagonist of Careful What You Wish For, Doug. During the summer on the lake, Doug is hired by a rich investment banker (Dermot Mulroney) who’s married to a sexy young woman named Lena. Doug and Lena have an affair and when Lena kills her abusive husband in self-defense, Doug helps her cover it up. There’s a big twist at the end of the movie.
Lena is portrayed by model/actress Isabel Lucas. The Australian model/actress is known for her roles on MacGyver (Samantha Cage), Emerald City (Anna), the popular Australian soap opera Home and Away (Tasha Andrews) and in the films The Loft (Sarah Deakins), Immortals (Athena), Daybreakers (Alison), and in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as Alice, her American debut on the big screen. Careful What You Wish For premieres on LMN on Monday, December 31 at 8 pm.
