In the Speechless holiday episode “J-I–JINGLE T-H–THON”, while JJ (Micah Fowler) encourages Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) to stand up to his sisters Kiki (Niecy Nash, Reno 911! with Yarbrough) and Kendall (6’5″ Olympic gold medalist and WNBA MVP basketball star Lisa Leslie), Ray (Mason Cook) struggles to live in Pepper’s shadow as Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) twists the knife. At school, the DiMeos have an awkward conversation with Candy Kensington.
Candy Kensington on Speechless is portrayed by actress Tricia O’Kelley. She’s known for her roles on The Mick (Poodle, see photo below), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Camille), The New Adventures of Old Christine (mean mom Marly — she’s great, SEE LINK ABOVE), Gilmore Girls (Nicole Leahy), Emeril (Trish O’Connell), and The Young and the Restless (Jennifer Crawford), among others. Speechless airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on ABC, right after Fresh Off the Boat and right before Child Support.
