In the Last Man Standing episode “The Courtship of Vanessa’s Mother,” Vanessa’s (Nancy Travis) mother Bonnie comes to visit. She hits it off with Ed (Hector Elizando) a little too well for someone‘s liking. Bonnie is portrayed by actress Susan Sullivan.
Susan Sullivan is known for her roles on Castle (Castle’s mother Martha, SEE LINK ABOVE), The Nine (Nancy Hale), Hope & Faith (Dr. Nancy Lombard), Dharma & Greg (Greg’s mother Kitty Montgomery), The George Carlin Show (Kathleen Rachowski), Falcon Crest (Maggie Channing), It’s a Living (Lois Adams), Rich Man, Poor Man (Maggie Porter), and the daytime soap opera Another World (Lenore Moore), among others. Fun fact: Sullivan dated the late actor and Hollywood icon Cary Grant in the mid 1960s and credits the late Jane Wyman, US President Ronald Reagan’s ex-wife, as her mentor. Last Man Standing airs Fridays at 8 pm on FOX, right before The Cool Kids.
