In The Conners episode “One Flew Over the Conners’ Nest,” with the kids’ help, Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) convinces Dan (John Goodman) to build a chicken coop in the backyard so the family can eat organic eggs. Meanwhile Becky (Lecy Goranson) meets with Andrea (Sarah Chalke) for the first time since the surrogacy mishap, and Darlene (Sara Gilbert) is forced to deal with a sleazy customer (Kirk Fox) at her casino job. And that’s just her night job. Her boss Ben from “Lock ‘Em Up” magazine (the Lanford mugshot publication) comes to the bar too.

Ben is portrayed by Jay R. Ferguson. He’s known for his roles on Living Biblically (Chip), Twin Peaks (Special Agent Randall Headley), American Crime Story (FBI Agent Keith Evans), The Real O’Neals (Pat O’Neal), The Mindy Project (Drew Schakowsky), Mad Men (Stan Rizzo, SEE LINK ABOVE), Chasing Life (Mr. Gordon), Surface (Rich), Judging Amy (Dr. Todd Hooper), Glory Days (Sheriff Rudy Dunlop), Evening Shade (Burt Reynolds’ son Taylor Newton) and The Outsiders (Ponyboy Curtis — a classic simmering youth role for The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola with Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon and Diane Lane, check it out), among others. The Conners airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC.
