The protagonist of the Hallmark Movie Love, of Course is single mom Amy. She just dropped her daughter Cara (Makenzie Vega) off at college in Oregon. But before facing her empty nest in Los Angeles, Amy is hired for a six-week job on campus to help plan the Harvest Festival, which has waned in popularity over the years. Amy works with handsome professor Noah (Cameron Mathison) to make the festival fun again. And yes, sparks fly between them.

Amy is portrayed by Kelly Rutherford. She’s known for her roles on Dynasty (Melissa Daniels), Gossip Girl (Lily van der Woodsen), The District (Deputy Mayor Melinda Lockhart), Melrose Place (ex-hooker turned Michael Mancini’s wife Megan), and in movies including Scream 3 (Christine), among many others. Rutherford will star in the 2019 series Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists as Claire Hotchkiss. Love, of Course premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 20 at 8 pm.
