In The Cool Kids episode “Sid Comes Out,” Sid (Leslie Jordan) prepares for a visit from his son Walt. He tries to take all the “gay stuff” out of his apartment and ditches his cardigan sweater for a flannel shirt. Margaret (Vicki Lawrence) encourages Sid to come out with his son. Sid resists at first and then the cat is let out of the bag.
Walt is portrayed by Travis Schuldt. He’s known for his roles on Splitting Up Together (Frank), American Horror Story (Mr. Campbell), General Hospital (Dr. Zajac), It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Ben (The Soldier), Scrubs (Elliot’s boyfriend Keith), and the soap opera Passions (Ethan Winthrope, see below), among others. The Cool Kids airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on Fox, right after Last Man Standing and right before Hell’s Kitchen.
