In the Modern Family episode “On the Same Paige,” while Jay (Ed O’Neill) unknowingly flirts with the mother of Joe’s classmate at his country club, Phil (Ty Burrell) turns on the charm to keep his student Paige from leaving his real estate class. If one more student drops out, his class will be cancelled. Meanwhile, Phil’s son Luke (Nolan Gould) asks Paige out and invites her over to the house for dinner, where, yes, things get awkward.
Paige is portrayed by Sheridan Pierce. Pierce is known for her roles on Netflix’s Dear White People (Abigail) and One Day at a Time (Syd, see photo below), and This Just In (Martha), among others. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on ABC, right after American Housewife and right before the new family comedy Single Parents.
