On the Fresh off the Boat episode “Workin’ the ‘Ween”, after Honey (Chelsey Crisp) and Marvin Ray Wise) ask Jessica (Constance Wu) and Louis (Randall Park) to be Maria’s godparents, Jessica offers to babysit her on Halloween night. She didn’t know she’d have to help wean the baby off her pacifier that night, too. Meanwhile, Eddie (Hudson Yang) picks up a job at a mattress store to make extra money so he can buy a car. He didn’t know that he’d have to work by himself on Halloween.
The mattress store owner Harv is portrayed by George Wendt. He’s best known for his role as bar patron Norm Peterson on Cheers (for which he was nominated for 6 Emmy Awards) but he’s also recognized for his roles on Saturday Night Live (Chicago Bears fan Bob Swerski), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Mike Shelby), and Making the Grade (Gus Bertoia), among many others. Fresh off the Boat airs Fridays at 8 pm on ABC, right before Speechless.
