In The Goldbergs episode “Fiddler,” while Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey, Bridesmaids) interferes with Erica’s career plan, Murray (Jeff Garlin, Curb Your Enthusiasm) gets involved in the school production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” The star of the show is Matthew Shernicke (Augie Isaac). Matthew’s father Mr. Shernicke is portrayed by Brian Baumgartner. Baumgartner is best known for his role as Kevin Malone on The Office, for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2007. Since then, Baumgartner has taken on recurring roles including Dr. Olonari on Hand of God and Hank Jeffers on Melissa & Joey, among others. The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before American Housewife.
