In the Lifetime movie “The Sinister Surrogate,” after trying to have their own baby, husband and wife Josh (Brian Ames) and Danielle (Kelly Thiebaud) are told it’s time to try a surrogate. When they meet surrogate, Kailee Richmond (Jaclyn Hales), they think she’s perfect. But after the delivery of their daughter Sophie, Kailee starts stalking the family, breaking into their house and vandalizing their cars. Danielle turns to Dr. Jorgensen for advice. It’s the doctor who figures out that Kailee must have a mother who’s an oversized influence on her.
Dr. Jorgensen is portrayed by Mary Beth Evans. The four-time Emmy Award winner is known for her roles on Days of Our Lives (Kayla Brady, photo below), The Bay (socialite Sara Garrett), Chasing Life (Catherine), As the World Turns (Sierra Esteban), and General Hospital (Katherine Bell), among others. Fun fact: Evans is married to a real life doctor, is mother to three children, and is now a grandmother! The Sinister Surrogate premiers on Lifetime on Saturday, October 13 at 8pm.
