The Neighborhood is a new CBS sitcom set in a traditionally black neighborhood in Southern California. Longtime resident Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer) is proud of the neighborhood. So when a young white family moves in next door, he’s not pleased. Max Greenfield (New Girl) plays the new overly friendly white neighbor Dave Johnson. His wife Gemma is portrayed by Beth Behrs. Calvin’s wife Tina is portrayed by Tishina Arnold.
[Arnold was just 15 when filming Little Shop of Horrors]
Tishina Arnold is known for her roles on Survivor’s Remorse (Cassie Calloway), Daytime Divas (Mo Evans), Happily Divorced (Judi Mann), Everybody Hates Chris (Chris’ mom Rochelle), and Martin (Martin’s nemesis Pam! she was awesome), among others. Arnold is a singer too as demonstrated in the Frank Oz musical movie Little Shop of Horrors. Arnold was 15 when she landed the role of Crystal, an R&B singer with her future Martin co-star Tisha Campbell-Martin). The Neighborhood airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS, right before another new sitcom Happy Together.
