On the second night of The Voice Battle Round for Season 15, coach Jennifer Hudson pits twentysomething singers Mike Parker and Natasia Greycloud against each other. Together they sing the bluesy John Mayer song “Gravity”. The lyrics include “Gravity is working against me,” and it’s going to feel that way for JHud when she’s forced to pick just one of the artists to stay on her team.
Fun facts about the song “Gravity” — former Voice coach Alicia Keys provides background vocals at the end of the John Mayer song. And one year after it’s release, on August 11, 2007, NASA astronaut Pilot Charles O. Hobaugh chose the song as the wake-up calls for everyone aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC, right before This Is Us.
