The first round of Knockouts on The Voice begins Monday, October 29. Coach Adam Levine has pitted two young powerhouse female vocalists against each other – Radha and Reagan Strange. First up is Radha, the 20-year-old college student from Jersey City, New Jersey, who sings The Jackson 5 song “I’ll Be There.” Both Radha and Reagan got to work with Knockout mentor Mariah Carey, who knows the Jackson 5 song well. Carey is known for bringing the song back into pop culture 20 years after its original release (1970).

After Radha demonstrates her impressive range on the big stage, Reagan, the 14-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee, sings the Robyn song of heartbreak, “Dancing on My Own,” as if she’s sitting alone in the corner (as the lyrics say). Reagan’s emotional performance appears to put the judges in a trance. See video below. The Voice airs Mondays at 8 pm on NBC.
