In the Season 30 premiere of The Simpsons, “Bart’s Not Dead,” Bart lands in the hospital after taking on a dare. He makes up a lie about going to heaven and meeting Jesus so Marge won’t get mad. When Christian producers come knocking on the Simpsons’ door to buy the story, Homer sells it. Triple threat Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Glee, Frozen) plays Bart in the movie. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) plays Lisa, and Emily Deschanel (New Girl) nails the voice of Marge.

Luke is voiced by stand-up comedian Dave Attell. The Queens, New York native got his big break in 1993, when he made his first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Saturday Night Live‘s Lorne Michaels saw it and hired him as a writer. Attell later wrote for The Jon Stewart Show and hosted Comedy Central’s Insomniac with Dave Attell. As an actor, Attell had roles in two of Amy Schumer’s movies – I Feel Pretty (Really Tan Dude) and Trainwreck (Noam). He also played Frank in Louis C.K.’s 2001 film Pootie Tang starring Chris Rock, Lance Crouther and Wanda Sykes. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX.
