In the Season 6 premiere of Mom, “Pre-Washed Lettuce and a Mime,” while Bonnie (Allison Janney) has a dream about her boyfriend Adam (William Fichtner) cheating on her, Christy (Anna Faris) is excited about her first day of law school. But after a tough first day in Professor Addison’s (guest star John Rubinstein) class, Christy has second thoughts about law school. Good thing she kept her day job at the restaurant. Or is it? In this episode, her supervisor Geoffrey reappears. Last time we saw him (in the January episode Teenage Vampires and a White Russian), he tried to get Christy fired.

Christy’s restaurant supervisor Geoffrey is portrayed by Matt Oberg. The versatile actor is known for his roles on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Agent Yermuther), Fresh Off the Boat (Matthew Chestnut), Superstore (Bruce/Larry), Veep (Buddy Calhoun), The Real O’Neals (VP Murray), The Comedians (Mitch), Hart of Dixie (Scotter), and Ugly Americans (Mark Lilly), among others. Fun fact: Oberg made his TV debut on Chappelle’s Show in 2004 as the Gay Butcher. Mom airs Thursdays at 9pm on CBS, right after Young Sheldon and right before the new Murphy Brown.
