Actor Rob Lowe is the executive producer, director and co-star of the Lifetime TV movie The Bad Seed. Lowe brings a new twist to the classic 1956 psychological horror film, which was based on William March’s best-selling 1954 novel. It’s about a spoiled little girl who displays exemplary behavior in front of adults but is truly evil. She kills a classmate at school and then pretends like nothing happened. Actress Patty McCormack was nominated for an Oscar for her role as the little girl (Rhoda) in the original film. In Rob Lowe’s TV movie, McCormack plays the psychologist who treats the little girl Emma. Rob Lowe plays Emma’s single father who continually asks her, “What would you give me for a basket of hugs?” To which Emma replies, “a basket of kisses.” When Emma smiles and repeats the line “a basket of kisses” over and over in the mirror to herself, it’s just the tip of the creepy iceberg.
