One of the most memorable acts competing on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent is 14-year-old singer Courtney Hadwin. Sure, there have been lots of young, adorable singers vying for music producer extraordinaire Simon Cowell‘s attention on the show. But Courtney’s talent and stage presence caught America by surprise and earned her Howie Mandel‘s Golden Buzzer. The talented teen from Hartlepool, England has been compared to the legendary Janis Joplin and for good reason.
Courtney is by far the youngest of the Top 10 acts and she has more followers on Instagram than the others, with the exception of Canadian-born magician Shin Lin. Courtney has 200,000 followers, Shin Lim has the most — 247,000. The third closest is Dutch-born singer Glennis Grace (141k). While Shin Lim may have more followers, he’s accumulated them over the years; Courtney’s fanbase is mainly due to her sudden and recent AGT surge. Momentum, just like in sports, often predicts a winner. The rest of the contestants are not in the six-figure range. And the rest of them can’t rock a Ramones t-shirt like Courtney!
