Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day is back on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. Three years ago she was at the mansion with her then-boyfriend, former NLT boy band member Travis Garland). That didn’t work out. But less than a year later, she met Jersey Shore star Pauly D on Famously Single. After the show, Aubrey moved to Vegas to be with Pauly. Two years later, they’re working on their communications skills. On Marriage Boot Camp, Pauly complains that Aubrey thinks she knows more about therapy than he does because she’s been on the show before.

[Watch the Oscar-winning They Way We Were]
On the show, Aubrey wears a gold necklace which reads Katie Girl. Katie Girl is a reference to a line on Sex and the City (via the 1973 Barbara Streisand, Robert Redford movie The Way We Were — see link above). On Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) says, “The world is made up of two types of women. The simple girls and the Katie girls. I’m a Katie girl.” (Streisand played Katie, a politically active Marxist Jew who falls for an apolitical WASP after World War II). On Marriage Boot Camp, Aubrey admits “I’m messy.” Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars airs Fridays at 9pm on WE.
